Eligibility
Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree and/or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanity, Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent there to, are eligible for admission to the programme.
The reservation and relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other categories shall be as per the rules of the Central Government/State Government, whichever is applicable.

Bachelor’s degree in physical education with 45% marks.
OR
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 45% marks and studied physical education as compulsory elective subject.
OR
Bachelor’s degree with 45% marks and having participated in National/Inter University/State competitions or secured 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in Inter College/Inter-Zonal/District/School competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India.
OR
Bachelor’s degree with participation in international competitions or secured 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in National/Inter-University competition in sports and games as recognized by respective federations/AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India.
OR
Graduation with 45% marks and at least three years of teaching experience (for deputed in-service candidates i.e. trained physical education teachers/coaches)
In addition to fulfillment of the Academic qualification and sports eligibility, the candidates must have to qualify the Physical Efficiency Test (Canadian Test). However, no marks shall be given for this test.
Every student will submit medical fitness certificate at the time of admission.
Married Female selected candidates will have to submit a certificate from SMO/MO of the civil hospital that she is not in the family way. She will have to submit an undertaking that if during the course of study, it is found that she is in the family way her admission will be cancelled.

Male candidates must clear the following test in a sequence from the starting line with in 32 seconds and the total distance would 75 meter.
- 10 feet long jump.
- Seven times crossing over the width of 5 river/pit.
- Vaulting Horse of 4'8" height.
- Forward roll on mat.
- Crossing over the hurdle of 3' height.
- Carrying two buckets of sand upto finishing line 25m. away.
Female candidates must clear the following test in a sequence from the starting line with in 35 seconds and the total distance would 70 meter.
- Long jump.
- Five times crossing over the width of 4' river/pit.
- Vaulting Horse of 3'2" height.
- Forward roll on mat.
- Crossing over the hurdle of 2'6" height.
- Carrying two buckets of sand upto (2/3 filled) finishing line 30m. away.
